For Len, helping people make the most of their finances is rewarding work. Len enjoys guiding his clients as they implement the strategies that help them meet their life-goals and needs.

Len takes a comprehensive approach to wealth management. He believes the best way of achieving success for his clients is by building long-term relationships based on trust, respect, and doing what is right for the client. He sees his role as helping people make well-informed decisions about their investments and retirement plans. Len brings to CMS a much broader array of services, too: In addition to investments, he offers our clientele full-service financial planning, retirement planning, health insurance, and group employee benefit plans. He regularly conducts educational seminars on financial topics for community organizations, associations, and the general public.

Len is a native of St. Louis.   He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Missouri - Columbia, and an MBA with High Honors from the Meinders School of Business of Oklahoma City University.   Len has his Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and Life and Health Insurance license.

Before joining CMS, Len served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He also spent five years as a management consultant.

Len believes in supporting the community and charitable causes. He is a member of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce and volunteers for several civic organizations, among them the St. Louis Ambassadors and the West St. Louis County Jaycees.

Laura Sherman
Director of Business Development

The newest addition to our group is Laura Sherman. Laura, also a native St. Louisan, comes to CMS from a diverse background in sales of tangibles and intangibles, the last five years of which were in the investment-management world. She has a grasp of our business and a way of conveying the uniqueness of our CMS propostion that people have rarely heard before and truly find fascinating.

Laura, along with Jim, is largely our 'face' of CMS to the world at large; she also heads-up our marketing efforts, and is our webmistress as well.

Laura is our point-person for many ongoing matters of client contact and is eager to get to know all of our valued CMS clients.

During her non-CMS time, Laura volunteers with the Missouri office of The Adoption Exchange, for its fundraising events; also, she is a vocalist with several club- and special-event bands and tribute acts around town.
